A flexible heel structure folds down as your foot slides in, then springs back to cradle your heel. You step in without bending down or using your hands — see the Technology page for the two systems (-005 and -009).
Most AJL styles use dial, drawcord or strap adjustments: set your fit once and the step-in heel does the rest. The Sagacity Stride has no laces at all — just elastic gussets.
Women EU 35–39 and men EU 39–45 on most styles; the Sagacity Stride is men-only in EU 38–45. Full EU/US/cm conversions are on the Size Guide page.
Most customers find AJL shoes true to size. If you are between sizes or plan long walks, we suggest sizing up.
Spot-clean knit and mesh with a soft cloth, mild soap and water. Wipe leather with a soft dry cloth. Remove insoles to air out, and always air-dry away from direct heat — never machine wash.
